I create contemporary mixed media paintings that convey a strong sense of the places I have visited, abstracting real scenes and telling stories that evoke joy and connection.
In my intuitive process, I layer multiple media such as acrylic, pastel, oil pastel, ink, colored pencils, and graphite on canvas or paper, revealing rich textures and visible traces of the process. I constantly celebrate colour.
My paintings transfer the energy and the spirit I have absorbed from the explored surroundings.

Life and art are deeply connected and flow into one another. My everyday life is part of my art. My way of seeing the world - architecture, places, and stories - is already a creative act.
Houses and towns have their own stories, carrying narratives that evolve over time.
Since I was a child, I‘ve explored my neighbourhood, painting houses with many windows - each one offering a glimpse into its own story.
Not much has changed over the years. Today, I still wander, experiencing architecture, listening to the tales that boroughs whisper, and painting plein air.
In every layer of mixed media I add to my work, I weave together threads of heritage, myth, and memories.
The resulting house portraits reveal dynamic and contrasting urban compositions.
I enjoy being outdoors and painting houses, passing on their stories and keeping them alive.
I would be delighted to create a painting of your house or neighbourhood.

I’m Angélica, the artist behind Supperstories. From an early age, I was deeply shaped by different cultures. During my childhood, I lived with my Venezuelan father and German mother in New York and Caracas. Soon I moved to the heart of my large, traditional Venezuelan family, where all kinds of topics were discussed at suppertime around the table. The heart of the family was my grandmother, Mamá Angela - a devoted cook and a delightful storyteller. I wanted to preserve her unique gift of storytelling and keep it alive.
As long as I can remember, I have been painting, drawing, and creating. Architecture and art have always played a crucial role in my life. After completing my architecture studies in Caracas, I moved to Düsseldorf, where I am still based today. After fulfilling years of working as an architect, I now dedicate myself fully to painting.
I love continuing the storytelling tradition - but instead of using words, I let my paintings tell the stories.
I warmly invite you to join me on my creative journey and to embrace life as a form of art.

The blank pages offer me private and safe space where I can fully immerse myself in experimentation, allowing selfdiscovery and artistic growth.
Art journaling in a sketchbook or concertina has become a consistent part of my daily routine.
Over the years I have developed a dedicated practice that has led me to my signature style.
My sketchbook has taught me to embrace failure as a learning opportunity.
Creating in a book means to me:
new page, new joy.

Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions, would like to commission a unique house portrait, or are interested in purchasing one of my cityscapes.
